In the cracks and slivers where I find rare moments to just be, I write. Whenever there aren’t perfectly pocketed moments of free time, I create them.

That said, my love for writing didn’t come naturally or early. It found me in my senior year at the University of Miami, when I decided on a whim to take a creative writing class. I didn’t expect it to have much impact, but the process clicked instantly, and I knew right away that I wanted to pursue it long-term. From that moment on, I’ve devoted myself to writing, steadily building both experience and confidence.

Since graduating in 2016, I have written over twenty short stories. My first published story, Abby’s Story, appeared in Spillwords E-Magazine in September of 2025. I’ve also completed a novella that will be included in an anthology of character-focused vignettes offering glimpses into different lives.

Right now, I’m preparing for the publication of my debut novel, Creatures of Habit, scheduled for a late February release. The novel explores nostalgia, routine, and the ways we find comfort in the very things that keep us from changing. It is the culmination of years of learning, writing, and revising—the pursuit that has propelled me forward as a writer.

Much of what I’ve learned through writing has been reinforced by my work outside the page. Teaching and coaching remind me daily that growth is rarely linear. Repetition, reflection, and resilience are just as central to teaching and coaching as they are to writing, shaping both the stories I tell and the way I tell them.

I live and write in Miami, a city whose energy constantly finds its way into my work. Through my stories, I aim to capture the quiet, in-between moments that define who we are when no one’s watching.
